Perlina Jane Shamp was 82 years of age when she passed away on May 29, 1937, at the home of A. Berrigan. The widow of Jesse A. Shamp, she was a Kansas resident for 33 years.
She was born in Iowa on March 12, 1855, the daughter of Louisa C. Adkins.
Her memorial service was arranged by the A. Berrigan family with the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home in Neodesha and conducted May 31, 1937, at the Berrigan residence with the Reverend Geo. M. Boicourt presiding. Interment was in the Neodesha City Cemetery.
