Delores Elaine Orndorff, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Born September 12, 1929, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Ethel V. (Duck) Adams.
Delores was a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, and a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edge Grove.
She was retired from Kleffel's Clothing Store in Hanover where she was employed for many years.
Delores enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are eight children, James Orndorff Jr. and wife, Diane of Naperville, IL, Claire Farrell of Visalia, CA, David Orndorff of Casper, WY, Lois Whaley of Rockville, MD, Ronald Orndorff and wife Regina, Diane Helwig and husband Donald, and Steve Orndorff and wife Hanh, all of Hanover, and Richard Orndorff and wife Gail of Gettysburg; 12 grandchildren, Ellyse and Grace Orndorff, Jennifer Farrell, David and Allison Whaley, Eric and Adam Helwig, Jessica Timmins, Renee Reese, Jacob Orndorff, and Tyler and Stevii Payden; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Beverly Rebling and Janice Riley both of Hanover.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ann Orndorff; and son-in-law, Joseph Whaley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. May 23, 2013, at Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Friends and relatives will be received the 22nd 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, McSherrystown, with the rosary recited at 8 p.m.
