George D. Baker, 66 of Cochranville died Sunday, May 13, 2012. Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late W. Lee and Evelyn Newlin Baker. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. George was the farm manager for the Swayne Horse Farm retiring in 2011. He was a member of Manor Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. Surviving him are two brothers, John N. Baker, husband of Gloria of Lincoln, NE and William F. Baker of Christiana; nieces and nephews; cousins; and his caregiver and friend, James A. French. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Fuller, Barbara McLaughlin and Carol Faulkner. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 17 at Manor Presbyterian Church, 505 Street Road, Cochranville, PA 19330.
