McMillan, Brenda Sue Dunlap – age 71 of Strawberry Plains passed away suddenly Saturday evening, May 18, 2013. While Brenda never had children of her own, she was a mother to many including her daughters, Jackie Carpenter and Cathy Gibson; and son, Charles H. (Skip) McMillan II and wife Sandy. Brenda was the owner and operator of Ceramalab dental laboratory for the last 34 years, and a member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Class of Ruth Sunday School class for the last 36 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude W. and Evelyn Brabson Dunlap. She is survived by husband, C.H. McMillan Sr.; and children; sister, Ella Loutrella Dunlap Simpson and husband Jack. She is also survived by special cousin, Beverly Brabson Baker; special friends, Larry and Lucretia Thomas; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Bridges Funeral Home with Dr. Charles D. Earl and Rev. Mike Vincent officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lyons Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 9235 Strawberry Plains Pike, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Thursday at Beech Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Pallbearers: Larry Thomas, Bill Laird, Malcolm Morgan, Josh Carlon, Drew Carpenter, David Baker, and Clark Gibson. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
