Obituary:

Robert Louis Howard, age 69, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away October 8, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 25, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to Donald E. and Sophie D. Howard. He grew up in Cleveland, OH. He attended college in Houghton, MI and transferred to the University of Utah where he graduated. He received his Masters Degree in Statistics from Utah State University. He retired from Hill Air Force Base, 1993. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married his sweetheart, Norma Boehme, Dec 31, 1954 in Geneva, ID. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March, 1956. The great joy and happiness in his life was hisfamily. He loved his children and grandchildren and doing things for and with them. He also cared deeply for his many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hiking in the mountains and making his yard beautiful. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years; daughter, Carolyn (Dan) Kupfer; son, Stephen (Sandi); daughter, Nancy Stevens; grandchildren, Angela, Jenni, Kristy, Heather, Mindi, Mallory, David, Kenneth, Harlee; mother; and brother, Raymond. Services Tues. Oct 14, 11 a.m. McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd where friends and family may call Mon. Oct 13, 6-8 p.m. and Tues. 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. The family would like to thank CNS Hospice, especially Carol Hansen, for their wonderful care.
