Mrs. Inez Hewett, 84, of Whiteville, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was born December 15, 1924 in Horry County, SC, the daughter of the late Noah and Rose Ella Alford Barnhill. She was the widow of the late James Curtis Hewett.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Mitchell, Clyde, Horace, Wells, Vonnie and Lester Barnhill; two sisters, Hazel Pope and Irene Thompson.
