Mary Kate "Granny" Teegarden Gillispie, age 88, widow of Oram Gillispie, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Dover Manor Nursing Home, in Georgetown, Kentucky. A native of Scott County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Herb and Ola May Hammons Teegarden. She worked at Mallard Pen and Pencil for many years. She was an active member of Sadieville Christian Church, where she taught a Sunday school class and was the custodian.

She is survived by: five grandchildren, Jackie A. Hansel, Gregory A. Wilson, Teresa Bradford, Jennifer Wallace and Keith Osborne; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: three children, Nell Frances Osborne, Ray Riley Gillispie and Luetitishie Ann Wilson; and two sisters, Mildred Adkins and Everette May McKenney.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Johnson’s Funeral Home by Bro. Scott Meadows and Billy Wilson. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Franklin Osborne, Keith Osborne, Harlan, Brandon Rutledge, Brian Rutledge, Greg Wilson and Tim Hansel. Visitation is after 2:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to Sadieville Christian Church, in care of Bill Wilson, 106 Eagle Bend Drive, Sadieville, Kentucky 40370.
