Dr. R. H. Boyd Dies, Funeral Held Today
Funeral services for Dr. Richard Hardy Boyd, 72, physician who died Saturday in the Coffee County Hospital as a result of a heart attack, were held this morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Daves Culbertson Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Madill and Rev. Charles Jackson officiated and burial was in Oakwood cemetery. Dr. Boyd was a native of Hopkinaville, Kentucky, but has practiced in Tullahoma, Tenn. since 1904. He received his medical education in Franklin, Ky. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Thelma Clark Boyd, whom he married in 1904; three sons, W. J. Boyd, Knoxville, Dr, Richard H. Boyd, Jr., Independence, Mo., and James H. Boyd, Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Wendell Kirk and Miss Mary Frances Boyd, both of Tullahoma. He is also survived by a broth-er, James F. Boyd, Tullahoma and a sister, Mrs. L. L. Allen, Clarksville and four grandchildren.
