Mrs. MacDonald attended local schools and then earned a college degree before returning to Lemington.
She had a long career in the Colebrook banks, starting at the First Colebrook Bank in the early 1940s, and then later at the Farmer's & Trader's Bank from which she retired in 1986 after more than 40 years of service. From 1987 until 2000, Ginny worked part-time as a gift shop attendant at The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch.
Mrs. MacDonald loved to travel and entertain her family and friends. Her house always had an "open door." She loved to play cards and participate in family outings, and she and Fred used to love to ride the countryside in their Jeep. Her other hobbies included painting and ceramics. She was a communicant of St. Brendan's Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She leaves behind a daughter, Daphne Whitmore, and companion Al DeBlois, of Manchester, NH; four sons, Finley MacDonald and wife, Susan, of Columbia, NH, Theodore MacDonald of Las Vegas, NV, Wendell MacDonald and wife, Gladys, of Nashua, NH, and James MacDonald and wife, Lori, of Manchester, NH; a sister, Jeannette Ellingwood of Lemington, Vt.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. MacDonald is predeceased by her husband, Frederick, in 2002.
