Chloristeen Janes Hrastinski, 85, of Louisville, joined her heavenly Father Thursday, June 12, 2008, after a brief illness. She was a native of Columbia, KY, but lived most of her life in Louisville. She was retired from General Electric and was a life member of Local 761. She loved to redesign and build homes, and now, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but especially her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George J. Hrastinski; her parents, Freeman and Leora Hamilton Janes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edra and Charles Kelsey and Orilla and John Stone.
She is survivedby her two sons, Michael (Sue) Hrastinski of St. Charles, IL and Jerry (Linda) Hrastinski, with whom she lived in Taylorsville, KY; brothers, Bernard (Lv) and Russell (Nancy) Janes; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim), Beth (David), Cindy, Cheri (Hal),Tim (Kayla), Shannon (Mike), Matthew, Tina and Vince (Belinda); 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who love "Aunt NeNe."
Her funeral services were held on Monday, June 16, 2008 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum.
