Ascencion Z. Camarillo
Ascencion Z. Camarillo, 97, of Gonzales, died Saturday, February 3, 2001. He was born December 17, 1903, in Mexico to the late Atilano and Gabriela Zamaripa Camarillo. He married Nicholasa Carrizales, and she preceded him in death in 1988. He was a farmer and a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include sons, Miguel Camarillo of Gonzales, Juan Camarillo of Smiley, Victor Camarillo of Dallas, Pablo Camarillo and one daughter, Victoria Martinez of Bay City, 13 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Juan Camarillo of Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by one son, five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 5, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Macias officiating. Interment followed in the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Buffington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
