American author and playwright. He wrote over twenty novels from about 1900 to 1915. His only play was The Hypen which premiered to theaters on April 19,1915. The play was not the success he hoped for. He boarded the Lusitania on May 1,1915 to head to England hoping his play would successful there. But on May 7,1915, the Lusitania was torpedoed without warning by the German submarine, U-20. 1,178 people died. He was mong them and his body was never recovered.
