Frances E. "Fran" Carlson, 94, Michigan City, IN, passed away May 16, 2013 at 8:10 a.m. in her home.
She was born January 3, 1919 in LaSalle, Illinois to the late Sebastian and Mary (Jasiak) Anglavar. On December 16,1939 in LaSalle, IL she married William J. "Bill" Carlson who preceded her on November 15, 1988.
Surviving are 2 nieces, Jane (Michael) Malott of LaPorte, IN and Sue Potts of Kingsport, TN; 2 nephews, Norman "Dick" Carlson of Houston, TX and Duane Anglavar of Illinois; great-niece, Shelly Malott of Michigan City, IN; special friend, Terri Newman; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Fran was the former owner of Carlson's Drive In and Bill's Roller Rink.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Michigan City Senior Center, and was a Delta Wife.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Walter Rakoczy officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
