Lila May Fisher was born to Thomas and Nancy Fisher. She was married on April 13, 1912 to Fredrick Steffey in Roosevelt, AR. She gave birth to five children, one of which died shortly after being born. She and her husband moved to Bradford in 1917 and lived their until their deaths. Her husband, Fred, was a railroad worker for Missouri Pacific for thirty years. She died of a heart attack in the back of her son, Everett's, car while on the way to the hospital in Newport. She is rested next to her husband and close to her parents and only daughter, Mary Luceille Overton and her youngest son, Harold Dene Steffey.
