B.F. "Frank" Jones, Jr.
Warner Robins, GA- B.F. (Frank) Jones, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. , Friday, May 17 at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road, Byron, GA . A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 1:00 P.M. also at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. Burial will immediately follow at Walker Cemetery on Walker Road in Byron. Rev. Richard Brown (ret) will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Service for Service, an organization to honor World War II veterans, inspired by Frank and created by Kathryn Carver. (Service for Service, 101 Black Oak Trail, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or www.serviceforservice.us)
Frank was very proud of his service to his country. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. During the Battle of the Bulge, he was the crew chief for C-17's that delivered paratroopers and supplies. Frank was honored at the World War II Veterans Appreciation Luncheon in Warner Robins on November 8, 2012.
Frank returned to the United States in 1945 and began a 39 year career with the Central of Georgia Railroad, which later became Norfolk Southern Railway. He retired in 1982.
Mr. Jones was predeceased by a son, Benjamin (Benny) Franklin Jones, III of Macon; sister, Ruby Jones Allred and brothers, Donald Jones and Cecil Jones all from Byron.
The family also wishes to express our gratitude to the staff of PeachBelt Rehabilitation and Healthcare for their love and care shown to our father while he was a resident there.
