EMMA DANNEMAN
The funeral of Mrs. Emma Anna Danneman, 84, Monticello, was held at 1:30 p.m. June 9, at Wayne Zion Lutheran church, rural Monticello. Interment was in the church cemetery, Rev. Harvey O. Gilbertson officiated.
Mrs. Danneman died June 7 at the Senior Home, where she had resided the past seven weeks. She was born May 1896 near Barnston, Neb., daughter of Heye and Matilda Fruehling Behrends.
She was married Dec. 28, 1916 to Otto J. Danneman in Wayne church, Monticello. They farmed near Amber until 1944 when they moved to Amber. They moved to Monticello in 1976.
Mr. Danneman preceded her in death April 19, 1979 and their daughter, Dorothy
Danneman Behrends, died six months later.
Mrs. Danneman was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran church.
Surviving are two sons, Dale of Monticello and Donald of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Canada; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Seehusen of Center Junction and Mrs. Wilhelmina Pearson of Marysville, KS.; a half-sister, Mrs. Mate Bedner, and a half-brother, George Behrends, both of Wyoming, Neb.
Also preceding her in death was a grandson, two sisters and a half-brother.
