Al Ringquist
POTTSBORO - A visitation for Al Ringquist will take place Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home Sherman. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church, Sherman. Pastor Jason Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at Connor Cemetery near Dike, Texas. Al Ringquist passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Al was born Dec. 2, 1934 in Courdalin, Idaho to Herburt and Gae Ringquist who preceded him in death. He married Jewel Ringquist May 18, 2003 in Denison.
Al will be remembered as a hard working family man who enjoyed fishing, cookouts, and working puzzles with his wife. He worked at Kroger in Sherman, delivering prescription to our community. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
Al is survived by his wife, Jewel Ringquist of Pottsboro, Texas; son, Lee Ringquist of Spokane, Wash.; son, Bill Foreman and wife Trena of Pottsboro; daughter, Vickie Kent of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter, Donna Martin of Lawton, Okla.; son, JR. Ringquist and wife Maria of The Colony; son, Jeff Foreman and wife Pam of Pottsboro; daughter, Carole Ringquist of Pottsboro; sister, Leilani of Hawaii; sister, Nani of Houston; sister, Momi of Hawaii; brother, Joe Lovell of Hawaii. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Mae Cecil Boudreaux; daughter, Cecil Ringquist; brother, Art Ringquist, and a brother, Herb Ringquist.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Cancer Society in Al's name.
