Laura Mae Smith Neely, 85 of and formerly of 609 Mega Drive, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Magnolia Manor.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Callie McCombs Smith and the widow of Herman Neely. She was a retired Office Manager with Truck Stops Of America and a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a special nephew and niece; Don and Barbara Roach of Woodruff; one sister Lois Littell of Summerville, two brothers, Gaines Smith of Charleston and Gerald Smith of Santee. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Smith Jr.; and sisters Dorothy Stone, Margaret Roach, Betty Morrison and Ruth Gentry.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Friday May 17, 2013 at Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Vernon Thornhill. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abner Creek Baptist Church- 2461 Abner Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29651.
