Viola Brinck Petersen, 91, of Payson, Utah, passed away May 12, 2013. She was born December 17, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arvid Valfrid Brinck and Juliana Ingeborg Borg.

Upon graduating high school, Linnea moved to Southern California where she met and married Curtis Haskell Petersen and they were later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together, they raised five loving children. After their children were grown, Linnea and Curt returned to Utah and settled in Payson, Utah.

A faithful member of the Church, she was dedicated to genealogy. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were a tremendous source of joy in her life. She also enjoyed baking, ceramics, photography, painting, history and the New York Yankees.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; daughter, Valerie Ortiz; her parents, Arvid and Ingeborg; and brother, Edward Brinck.

She is survived by daughter, Sharee (Kent) Burton, of Elk Ridge, Utah; sons: Ronald (Ramona) Petersen, of Santaquin, Utah; Guy (Rhonda) Petersen, of Payson, Utah; Brad (Sandy) Petersen, of Huntington Beach, California; 29 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
