Buford Jackson, 51, World War veteran and lifelong resident of Davidson County, died at his home at Bordeaux yesterday morning following an illness of several years.
Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 o'clock at the Bracey-Welsh Funeral Home with Elder Lytton Alley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In active life, Mr. Jackson was a blacksmith. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 5, and was a Modern Woodman.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Jackson; mother, Mrs. Betty Jackson; sisters, Mrs. J. W. Harding and Miss Ann Jackson, all of Davidson County.
