Lyndle A. Whitley, age 80, of Malvern was finally greeted by his Heavenly Father after a 13 year battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. He was born October 25, 1932, in Hot Spring County, the son of the late Guy and Rellie Mae Hardin Whitley. Lyndle worked at Acme Brick for 47 years as a forklift operator. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and friends. His special fishing buddy was his brother, Marlon. He was a member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church. Other tha his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Dean Whitley; sisters, Charlotte Francis and Delphine Wright.

Left to cherish his memory, wife, whom he married on September 13, 1952, Juanita Burris Whitley; sons , David (Pam) Whitley of Magnet Cove, Ken (Cheryl) Whitley of Friendship, Jimmy (Shelia) Whitley of Caney and adopted in Roy (Patti)Goshien of Bryant; brothers, Milton Whitley of Oaklona, Don (Brenda) Whitley and Marlon (Earlene) Whitley all of Malvern: sisters Bernice Smith of Hot Springs, Earlene Whitley Phillips of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Ernestine Franklin of Amity; grandchildren Marcus (Christina) Whitley, Matt (Nicholas) Whitley,, Kristi (Stephen)Bellomy, Neil (Jillian)Whitley, Monty Whitley and Casey Whitley and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday May 17, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 18 at 2PM at Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Rowton and Brother Eli Maynard officiating. Interment will be in Ouachita Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Gary Boyette, Scott Boyette, Ronnie Smith, David McClard, Harry Draper,, Keith Starky, Jimmy Gatlin and Jamey Huey.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kamol Patel and dr. Nancy Rector and their staff.
