The funeral for Harry Ezra Dillon, 77, of 3469 Whitman Court, Lakeland, Fla., and 52 Seldon Drive, Bassett, who died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services chapel in Martinsville.

Elder Thomas Soloman and the Revs. David Deaton and Roger Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Henry Memorial Park at Bassett Forks.

Visitation will be held at Norris Funeral Services from 7-9 p.m. today, and other times at the Bassett residence, 52 Seldon Drive.

He was born on Feb. 11, 1927, in Franklin County, a son of the late Lorenza Dillon and Sally Kate Altice Dillon. He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred Dillon, L.E. Dillon, Warren Dillon and Vester Dillon.

He served with the military police in the Army during World War II and retired from DuPont as an electrician at the Martinsville plant, where he worked for 37 years. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Josephine Keaton Dillon of the residence; two sons, Kenneth W. Dillon and Stephen T. Dillon, both of Lakeland; one sister, Alice Perdue of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Calvin Dillon of Salem; and two grandchildren.
