BELOVED WOMAN PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Letitia R. Morris died this morning at 4 o'clock at her home, 117 Ninth avenue, south. Mrs. Morris was born in Bedford county, Tennessee, September 10, 1846, and when a small child her parents, Joseph Adams and Evaline Garrett Adams, moved to Marshall county, near Farmington.
In 1868 she was married to J. L. Morris, and their home was in Culleoka for many years. Later she lived in Montana, and returned to Nashville in 1911. She is survived by four children. Miss Evie Morris, Nashville: Adams Morris, Boulder, Mont.; Marvin Morris, Chattanooga, and Mrs. W. H. Johnson, San Francisco; one sister, Mrs. J. A. Orman, and a brother, W. C. Adams, and, both of Nashville.
Mrs. Morris was a life-long member of the Methodist church and was a member of McKendree church. Her devotion to her church was always one of her strongest characteristics, aand during her residence in Montana she was one of the faithful members of the Grand-street Methodist church. Her home was always open to the ministers of her church, and there are many who enjoyed her hospitality.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence to-morrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. T. C. Ragsdale. The following will serve as pall- bearers: Dr. W. H. Witt, Senator W. R. Webb, Col. John P. Hickman, F. M. Millsaps, Roy Rascoe, J. S. Morris, W. A. Morris and Osland Adams. The interment will be at Mt. Olivet.
