Marie J. (Kesel) Frey, 97, passed peacefully in her sleep May 13, 2013. Marie was born October 11, 1915 to Henry and Mary Dena Kesel. Marie was raised in St. Elizabeth, MO and moved to Kansas City, MO in the 1930’s; where she worked for the Isle Company. This is where she met the love of her life, Albert. They were married in November of 1941. Marie followed Albert to wherever he was stationed during World War II. After the war, they were blessed with 3 children. They then built a house in Raytown, MO, where they welcomed their youngest child. They lived in Raytown from 1955 till the Lord called for Albert in 1997. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. Marie was a member of the Alter Society and Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She also enjoyed sewing and traveling. Marie was proceeded in death by her husband, Albert; parents, Henry and Mary Dena Kesel; brothers, Adolph, Phillip & John Kesel and sisters, Mathilda Kesel & Elizabeth Kloeppel. She leaves behind her four children, MaryAnn Rule (Cecil), Albert Frey Jr. (Dolores), James Frey (Carol) and Ramona Meyer (Stephen); brother-in-law, Robert Frey; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Raytown, MO. The visitation will start at 9am and the Mass beginning at 11am. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with a reception following at the Disabled American Veterans Hall, 8787 Oldham Rd in Kansas City.
