Casiano, a resident of Española, passed away with his daughter and family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Benancio and Margarita Baca; sisters: Bennie Zapata, Ruby Atencio and Susie Baca; brothers: Juan and Raymond Baca; nephews: Paul and Jose Baca; maternal grandparents Antonio and Tomasita Atencio; paternal grandparents Leandro and Antonia Baca.

Casiano was survived by his daughter Lillian Grant (husband Clint) of Petaca; grandchildren: Kristen Grant, Jessica Grant and Clint Grant Jr. all of Petaca; great-granddaughter Layla Marie Grant; brothers: Dan V. Baca (wife Eva) of San Juan, Ray Baca (wife Bertha) of Chamita; sisters: Berlina Padilla (husband Leo) of Española, Mary Martinez (husband Tony) of Ranchitos, Brenda Mendez (husband Artemio) of Española; mother of Lillian, Myra Barela of Petaca; very dear uncle like his dad, Emilio Baca; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, relatives & friends; and his pet Lucky.

Casiano loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a very patient man. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He was a fantastic cook, and enjoyed carving and sketching.

Mass of Christian burial was on May 15, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Adrian Atencio, Larry Herrera, Lucas Jaramillo, Felipe Robles, Joel Chavez and Adolfo Torrez. Honorary pallbearers: Peggy Atencio, Darlene Atencio, Toby Martinez, Andrea Atencio, Lorenzo Gutierrez, Jessica Grant, Clinton Grant, Anthony Baca, and Danny Baca.
