ALEXANDER - In Chicago, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Dingley, on Monday, March 21, Betsy H. Alexander, in her 85th year.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Onondago Co., N.Y. and there married James L. Alexander in 1833. She removed to Illinois in 1836, where Mr. Alexander was engaged as contractor on the Illinois & Michigan canal.
To them were born two sons and four daughters, of whom there remains but one son, James H. Alexander, of Lockport, and Sara A. Dingley.
Mrs. Alexander went to Chicago a day ago for a visit and was there taken sick. Funeral service from the residence of J.H. Alexander Wednesday, the 22nd at 10 a.m.
