  Ida C. Gansmann, 74, of Highland, a resident of the Highland-St. Jacob area all her life, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, where she was a patient one day.
  She was born Jan. 31, 1896, south of Highland, the daughter of John and Francisca Frutiger Meyer.
  She was married to Edward Gansmann Nov. 30, 1912. He died Oct. 3, 1942.
  Survivors are a son, Burnell Gansmann of Highland; a daughter, Virginia Strautman of Phoenix, Ariz., and four grandchildren.
  In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Warren Gansmann, preceded her in death. He died Sept. 16, 1968.
  She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland and the Women's Guild of the church.
  Friends may call at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
  The body will lie in state at the church from 12:15 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
  The Rev. Victor H. Schoen will officiate at last rites at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  Burial will be in Highland City Cemetery.
