He graduated from high school in 1937 in Schulter, Okla. They moved to San Francisco whre he worked at the naval shipyards as an elctrician for four years. They later returned to the Midwest and eventually made their home in Dodge City in 1955.
There business in pole line construction took them to many of the Western states for long periods of time but they always returned to Doge city, where they raised their three daughters. They bought a farm in 1969 and moved to Cimarron, where they lived for 20 years before selling it and moving back to Dodge City,ks.
Other survivors are Janet(Paul) Rogers, Joan Myra Jillie,Joyce(Alan)Feldman all of Dodge City,KS; three brothers, seven sisters; three grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kagen Lee Gladman and Lorren Wynn Perkins.
Services were held at Swaim Funeral Home by Rev. Dick Robbins.
