Howard McGee's Funeral
It will take Place this Morning at 10 o'clock.

The funeral of the late Howard Hawthorne McGee will take place this morning at 10 o'clock from the Central Methodist Church on Union Street.

The remains arrived in this city yesterday afternoon from New York and were taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. McGee.

The body of the dead poet will be interred in Elmwood immediately after the funeral services at the church.

The following gentlemen will act as pall-bearers at the funeral: John M. Tuther, W.N. Brown Jr., Walter G. Holmes, Wynne Ferguson, R.C. Bruce, George R. James, W.E. Henderson and Walter Malone.

Howard H. McGee, the exchange editor of "The Commercial Advertiser," died in St. Vincent's Hospital yesterday from valvular disease of the heart. He was twenty eight years old, and came originally from Memphis, where his father was a prominent physician and his mother a well-known literary woman, both of them of good old Southern stock.

He was associate editor of "The Memphis Appeal" and afterward went to Chicago and was one of the prominent men in the Bohemian Guild of that city.

Six months ago he joined the staff of "The Commercial Advertiser," and, in addition to his regular duties, he contributed to the editorial, dramatic, and musical departments of that paper. A brother and three sisters survive him.

He was a poet and author. One work was entitled The New Liberty Bell was written for the World's Columbian Exposition.
