Ann died 14 May 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the grand age of 96. She was born November 7, 1916 in Minatare, Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, to Robert Waters Turner and Mary Eleanor Fairchild. She lived in Lincoln, Nebraska until she was 16 when her family moved to Omaha, where she lived for 68 years. Ann married James Frederick Harnett on Sept. 20, 1941 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska. She worked at Woodmen of the World for a number of years and volunteered with Red Cross during World War II. She was a member of the First Central Congregational Church in Omaha for over 60 years and served in many capacities there. She was a gifted musician, having a wonderful soprano voice and playing both piano and organ, by ear and with music. She was a member of Parent Teacher Association, Mother Singers, several church choirs and circles, an organ club, many bridge clubs, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ann loved bowling, golf, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (2000) and her sister, Carol (1999). She is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise (Nestor "Monty") Montez and Barbara Jo (Douglas Lee) Woodbeck; grandchildren, Scott Alan (Vickey) Montez, Margaret Mae (Anthony) Squires (nee Stroup), Daniel James Garrett (Gabby), Darrel Walter Woodbeck; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Scott Montez, Declan James Montez, Jacob Benjamin Montez, Molly Prickett, Elijah Daniel Garrett, Ethan Isaiah Garrett, and Harleigh Woodbeck.
