Flora Baird Beckstrom, 92, died January 17, 1995 in Salt Lake City.
Born April 8, 1902 in Cowley, Wyoming, a daughter of Robert and Sarah Alice Nelson Baird. She grew up in Cowley, attending schools there and at the University of Wyoming at Laramie. Married Marvin Beckstrom, June 6, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death December 24, 1979. Active member of LDS Church. Her great love was music, also enjoyed singing, directing music and teaching. She was an avid reader and loved western history. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Dr. Ronald and Jean Beckstrom, Marva and Bob Teran, Dawn and Eldon Clark, Gerald and Deanna Beckstrom; 20 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was the sole survivor of her family and was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 21, 1995, 12 noon at Union 1st Ward, 7350 So. 1100 East (Chapel Hill Dr.). Arrangements by Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St.
Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
