Freddy resided in Port Arthur 81 years and was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 479 for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ruby Melancon; son, Freddie Melancon and two grandchildren, Mark and Matthew Pierce.
He was survived by his children, Jerry and Phyllis Melancon, Linda and Chesley Hyde, Madelyn and Lynn Lemoine; grandchildren, Shawn and Dennis Duplantis, Michelle and Jr. Hebert, Leslie and Craig Dishon, David, Jana, Troy and Lynnette Thibodeaux and eight great grandchildren, also a host of family and friends including special friend, Marcelle Anderson.
