Charles Edward Bonini (1930-2012)

FRANKLINVILLE - Charles Edward Bonini of State Route 16, died Friday (May 25, 2012) at the Pines in Machias following a long illness.

Born Aug. 2, 1930, in Kane, Pa., he was the son of William Bonini and Evelyn Lindblade. In 1954, he married Ray Etta Willman, who died in 1963. On Nov. 23, 1963 in Bradford, Pa., he married Barbara Anderson, who survives.

"Charlie" was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and worked self-employed in the logging industry and associated with the Johnsonburg, Pa., paper mills. Many years were followed in career management in the hospitality service industry. He participated in basketball and baseball in earlier years, and he loved bowling and golf in his later years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed leisurely walks with his loving dogs.

Surviving besides his wife, Barabara Bonini (Anderson) of 48 years, are a son Tony Bonini of Lakewood Ohio; four daughters, Darlene Degnan, Karen Frank and Sandi Chapman, all of Rochester, and beloved daughter Mary Nella Bonini of
Franklinville, nine grandchildren; seven great grand children; and a brother, William Bonini of Mt. Jewett, Pa.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Rayetta Bonini (Willman), and a sister, Patti O'Connell.

Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Franklinville.
