EXCERPT from Eulegy for Kathy

Kathaleen Louise MOORE was the daughter of Edward Dempsey MOORE & Ethel May JONES. Her Father died when she was just 14 years old. As a child Kathy excelled in school, especially Drama, speech, & miming. She would create plays & puppet shows for the whole neighborhood. A favorite skit was "The Three Billy Goats Gruff " recruiting all of her brothers & sisters. She especially liked reciting Sonnets & Ballads.

Her family camped a lot in North California & Southern Oregon and while her Dad was hunting they would dam-up the river to make a nice swim-hole. Kathy loved swimming. But everything changed when she was a young mother on a boat outing. The boat capsized and sank. They all had to swim to shore rescuing little ones as well. She lost a sister-in-law that day. She never swam again. Kathy had many loses in her life, even two of her own children - Her son, Robert in 2002 and her daughter, Angy, in 2004. Now it is a joyful homecoming as she holds them in her arms once again.

Kathy was diagnosed with cancer and it was already in an advanced stage. The doctor explained her illness and informed us that there was nothing they can do. She wasn't ready to go and vehemently expressed her disapproval of the whole situation. She lived only one more month, stepping through the veil at just 64 years old.

There are many on both sides of the veil rejoicing and calling her blessed for what she has done for them. Kathy spent many hours in the work of the Lord searching and bringing families together. She was an avid Genealogist and would willingly help anyone who would ask her to help them. She has climbed to the highest and longest limbs of many trees.

Do not mourn too long ... Kathy is with us - In our hearts. We will miss her. Her work in this life may be done, but there are those surrounding her now with welcoming & love as she takes the hand of Jesus Christ himself. " WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY !!! "
