Mrs. Vivian P. Cook
Mrs. Vivian P. Cook, 82, Kansas City, Kan., former co-owner of Cook's Grocery Store, died Saturday at Providence St. Margaret Health Center. She operated the grocery store with her husband from 1921 to 1958. She worked at Fritz's Restaurant for five years before she retired in 1963.
Mrs. Cook was a member of the ?achary Missionary Chapter of the Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the Golden Agers senior citizens group at the Immaneul Baptist Church.
She was born in Johnson County and lived in Kansas City, Kan., 76 years. Her husband, Dewey Cook, died in 1985. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Kropf, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Tate, Mrs. Cordie Blessington and Mrs. Elzadie Gaunce of Kansas City, Kan.; eith grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene; burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.Monday at the Porter Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
