Frank M. Parsley, 81, Sloan, died Wednesday at a hospital in Onawa, Iowa, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Sloan. Everett Epperson, minister of the First Christian Church of Onawa, will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery under direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Sloan.
Mr. Parsley was born Dec. 9, 1889 at Bloomington, Ill. He married Katie Devine Jan. 2, 1912, at Hornick. Mr. Parsley was a Sloan resident since 1936. He was a retired farmer. Mrs. Parsley died in 1956.
Survivors include four sons, Bernard of Venice, Calif., Virgil of Kansas City, Mo., Cecil of Fullerton, Calif., and Leland of Prairie Village, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Taylor of Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Loren Gerjets of Ames, Iowa, and Miss Donnabelle Parsley of Sloan: a brother, Walter of Sloan: 24 grandchildren: and 23 great-grandchildren.
