Velma T. Bowles Hoffman, 80, of South Charleston died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Hubbard Hospice House.
She was born in Rock Castle, Jackson County, and retired from CAMC General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Jennings, Herman and Marion Bowles; and sisters, Oma Bowles Casto, Mae Bowles Blankenship, Reatha Turley, Erma Hayes, Belle Guillot and Hattie Patton.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moss Chapel Church, Given, with Ezekiel Wharton and Dr. Boyd Purcell officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care Inc., 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
