Bertha was born in Zirkwitz, Kreis Greifenberg, Pommern

Rice Lake Chronotype, Wednesday, October 20, 1954.
"Mrs. Bertha Thill, 76, of Rt. 1, Clayton, died Saturday morning at the Amery hospital, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Thill home in the town of Arland and from the Moon Lake Lutheran church, with Rev. A.W. Bunge officiating; and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Thill was born in Germany, Aug. 24, 1878, and came to the United States with her parents as a child, living in Minnesota and in southern Wisconsin before the family came to Arland about 50 years ago.
She is survived by her ten children and by more than 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Peter Thill, died in 1942."
