Johnnie Lee Roberts, 64, loving father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 9, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Sr. and Dorothy Roberts.
He was a graduate of Memphis Tech High School. Johnnie made his life long career with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department retiring in 1996 as Captain.
He was an avid sports fan of baseball, basketball, and golf, with his true love being the Memphis Tigers. Loving PaPaw to his grandchildren and their friends alike, family was his greatest treasure.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Roberts Diana, and Amy Willis Roberts; his brother, Paul David Roberts; sisters, Sheila Roberts Wilson, and Lisa Roberts Austin; his grandchildren, Cody Climer, Zachary Diana, Mackenzie Diana, and Madison Roberts; as well as his beloved dogs Buttons and Lexi.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 12 from 5:00-8:00 with a funeral service on Monday, at 1:00 pm, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery.
