Only son and third or four children born to Dana F. ROBINSON and Clarissa S. HULL. My grandmother told me that he was named "Osceola" after an American Indian who worked for his parents.

1860 Census Candor, Tioga County, New York age 10

17 FEB 1865 Enlisted at Colesville NY. Private, Company H. 2nd Mtd. Rifles. Occupation student "age 18". Blue eyes, brown hair, and fair complexion. Height 5ft 5 1/4 in.

10 AUG 1865 Mustered out. Private. With company at Petersburg, Virginia

1870 Census Candor, Tioga County, New York age 20 living with his parents, occupation "Farm Laborer"

1875 New York State Census, Spencer, Tioga County, New York age 25, son living with his parents

29 JUN 1875 married Mary Elizabeth LOTT in Spencer.

Lived in Spencer in 1905 occupation mechanic -- rheumatism, heart trouble, partial deafness in left ear, failing eyesight.
Carpenter & builder 1905 5'8" - 140 lb. - blue eyes, brown hair, light complexion - scar on calf - broken collar bone.
Lived in Spencer in 1906 -- disease of nose and throat & indigestion since Civil War.

My grandmother told me, "...Fletcher (according to Aunt Sue) was a fine musician -- played piano church organ and coronet. In fact, had his own musical group called 'Robinson's Coronet Band.' She said he was helping to set up a tombstone in the cemetery and his right hand was crushed somehow. No longer able to play any instrument he became very moody and morose--..."

He was a carpenter at the time of his death.
He died of pulmonary hemorrhage from tuberculosis according to his death certificate.
