Gibson Rites Sunday Afternoon
Funeral services were held for William Henry Gibson, 81, at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mainard Campbell, Elmore City officiating assisted by Rev. Yeats, pastor of the local church.
Mr. Gibson was born September 21, 1876 in Missouri and departed this life December 11, 1948 at his home here in Maud, after an extended illness. He moved to this vicinity from the state of Arkansas in 1918, where he became a member of the Baptist church soon after moving here.
Survivors are his wife, Ellan Gibson, five sons, W. O. Gibson, Modesto, Calif., Jim Gibson, Poteet, Texas; Andy and Calvin Gibson, Maud; Joe M. Gibson, Oklahoma City; three daughters, Mrs. Zoina Burgess, Sebastian, Texas; Mrs. Ollie Ticer, Maud; Mrs. Callie Silas Bakersfield, Calif., three brothers, John Gibson, Shawnee; Lee and George of Humphrey, Ark., two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bradford, Belmont, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Dodson, Timbo, Ark., 33 grand children and 31 great-grand children.
Interment was in the Cummings Cemetery under the direction of the Ogee Funeral Home
