Jesse Frederic Stevens, 54, passed away in Seattle, Washington, Sunday, August
27, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jess
Stevens, longtime residents of Athens.
Mr. Stevens was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a degree in
petroleum engineering and was employed by Washington Natural Gas of Seattle as
Vice President of Therman Exploration Division. He had lived in Washington for
the past 25 years.
