Bamberg, June 18 -- Miss Laura Bamberg died here this morning after a lingering illness of many months. She had reached nearly 70 years of age. She was a daughter of William S Bamberg, Sr, one of the founders of the town, and leaves a large circle of relatives and friends. Capt W S Bamberg is her brother and Miss Carrie Bamberg a sister.

Many Relatives and Friends Pay Last Sorrowful Tribute
Bamberg, June 2? -- Special: Miss Laura Bamberg died at her residence in this city yesterday morning. She was a daughter of W Seaborn Bamberg, who is said to have been the first settler of Bamberg, then known as Lowrey's Turnout, and in whose honor the ton was given its present name. The deceased was nearly seventy years of age. Her long life was devoted to her friends and to deeds of charity. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. One brother, W S Bamberg, and one sister, Miss Carrie Bamberg, survive her.
The funeral exercises were conducted at her late residence this morning by her pastor, the Rev E O Watson, after which the boy was taken to Restland Cemetery and interred in the family plot. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral and interment, and the profuse display of beautiful flowers that covered her grave bore silent testimony to the devotion of her friends and the esteem in which she was held.
