Garnette E. Foutty, 91 of Belpre, Ohio died on May 9, 2013 at the Willows in Parkersburg. She was born on August 7, 1921 in Parkersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late French E. and Gladys D. Appleton Calhoun. She had been a member of the Mullen Memorial Baptist Church for over 52 years where she had played the piano for more than 40 years. She taught Sunday School, was a past member of the Belpre Garden Club and been an active member of the Belpre Senior Citizens where she would play the piano.

Survivors include her 6 children, Judy (Paul) Hogsett of Kanawha, WV, Carol (Tom) Hutchinson of Elizabeth, WV, Linda (Rod) Ingraham of Belpre, Joyce Ann (Kevin) Sellers of Elizabeth, WV, Martha Christine Reeves of Dayton, Virginia and Dan (Donna) Foutty of Pataskala, Ohio, a daughter in law, Debbie Foutty of Vienna, WV, her sister, Francis Cunningham of Parkersburg, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harley M. Foutty, a son, David Foutty Sr., two grandchildren, Susan Hogsett, and Joshua Foutty, two sisters, Lois Calhoun and Gladys Johnson.

Services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Mullen Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Jamie Sprague and Pastor Kent Lowther officiating. Friends may call at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church one hour prior to services.
