Graveside services for Mrs. Lillian Mae Seward Miller, age 98, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Plain Dealing Cemetery with Rev. Deryl Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.

Mrs. Miller, a long time resident of Lake Charles, LA was born on July 20, 1914 in Vivian, LA to Lillie Hamiter Seward Moore and William Finley Seward. She died on Monday, May 6, 2013 in Lake Charles, LA. She was a member of the East Ridge Baptist Church in Lake Charles and was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Calcasieu Chapter 164 and was retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a cafeteria manager..

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Walter Ray Anderson and his wife, Virginia, of Shreveport, LA; stepdaughter, Leta Faye Swayze of Lake Elsinore, CA; daughter-in-law, Ellen Anderson of Baton Rouge, LA; son-in-law, William Cromwell and wife, Margaret of Lake Charles, LA; eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Miller, her parents, brother, Edward Seward; sisters, Ursa S. Ward, Willie S. Weaver, Zilphia M. Staggs, Juanita M. Hulsey and Dixie M. Staggs; son, Alton F. Anderson and daughter, Clydie Sue Anderson Cromwell.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
