Mary Elizabeth Metcalf, 91, passed away May 7, 2013 at her home in Black Forest. Mary was a homemaker and longtime member of Eastern Star, FCE (El Paso Co.) and the Berean Sunday School Class at the First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs. She also was a member of the Black Forest Art Guild. She was chosen as the 2012 Keeper of the Keys in Black Forest, and was active in many community activities. She enjoyed painting, golfing, fishing, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Don Metcalf in 1978. She is survived by her four children: Gloria (Bob) Kaberlein of Plains, KS; Judy (W.O.) Fiedler of Lithia, FL; Keith (Joyce) Metcalf of Ft. Collins, CO. She has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She leaves a large extended family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, 420 North Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. Memorial donations may be made to Sol-Amor Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
