Brutal Assassination
Geneva, Tex, May 21 - About 5 p.m. today John F. Arthur took down his Winchester rifle, caliber 38, ostensibly to clean it. His wife asked him to take it out of the door. He went into the smoke house. In a moment a shot was heard and running out the family found him on his hands and knees shot through the head. The ball entered above and a little in front of left and escaped above and little behind the right ear. He died before the doctors reached him. (Fort Worth Daily Gazette, Fort Worth, Tex, May 22, 1895 - vm)
