Robert Lee Selman
October 18, 1956 - May 7, 2013
Biography;
Robert Lee Selman, 56, of Hubbard, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, May 10 at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with Rev. Ricky Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, May 9 at the funeral home.
Robert was born October 18, 1956 in Hillsboro to Billy and Helen (Phelps) Selman. He lived most all of his life in Central Texas and attended schools in Hubbard and Waco. Robert worked as an insulator for Shanco Insulation and was a member of Southern Hill Baptist in Waco. He had a strong work ethic and was happiest when he was working or with his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Selman.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Selman of Hubbard; son, Billy Joe Selman of Hubbard; daughter, Robin Selman of Hubbard; three grandchildren, Carson, Kaden and Mia, all of Hubbard; four siblings, Billy Selman of Hubbard, Kathy Galvan of Sherman, Jerry Selman of Round Rock and Linda Pruitt of Dawson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Garron Prowell, Sam Belcher, William Merritt, William Skillings, David Howard and Nick Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the last group of men that Robert worked with, Larry Arrington, Braxton Beggs, Todd Pierse, Larry Cook, James Mason, Roland Zamora, Jim Prater and Justin Hightower.
