C. Guy Hubbard was born Nov. 12, 1885 in Green County, Tennessee and died in Colfax, July 12, 1906. He came with his parents to Colfax in 1901 where he has since resided being highly respected and loved by all who knew him.

When 10 years of age he united with the church, being a member of the choir and Epworth League. He took a select course in the Colfax High School and anticipated entering the State College of Pullman next year.

Through his 17 days' sickness, which was severe from the first, he was patient and resigned to God's will, not expecting to recover, often singing and praying through his illness, leaving abundant evidence of his going to be with the Lord. Among his last words were "God of Zion."

The bereaved parents, brother and sisters have the sympathy of the entire community. Guy was an affectionate son and a favorite among all his associates and friends and faithful and efficient in the church of his choice.

Resolutions adopted by the Epworth League of the M.E. church at the regular business meeting held July 24:
Whereas, It has pleased 'god in His infinite wisdom to take from among us our beloved friend and brother, C. Guy Hubbard, be it
Resolved, That this Epworth League, Chapter 7656, has sustained the loss of its very able and efficient treasurer, whose careful and systematic work commends itself to all our Epworthians.
Resolved, That as individual members of this Epworth League, we miss the kindly face and genial spirit of our brother, whose influence was always elevating and helpful and we each extend to the braved parents, brother and sisters our heartfelt sympathy in this their great sorrow, commending them to the all wise Father who alone is able to help in time of need.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the braved parents, also that they be placed upon the records of this Epworth League, and a copy furnished our county papers for publication.
