Joshua Woodman was born on 6 June 1708 at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Deacon Archelaus Woodman and Hannah Swett. In March 1735/36 at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, Joshua married Eunice Sawyer, daughter of John Sawyer and Sarah Wells. Joshua Woodman and Eunice Sawyer lived after December 1736 at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Joshua Woodman was a blacksmith at Kingston. On 4 November 1762 at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, Joshua Woodman was mentioned in the will of Deacon Archelaus Woodman. Joshua Woodman signed the Association Test in 1776 at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. He left a will on 27 January 1789 at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. He died on Monday, 4 April 1791 at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, at age 82 years, 9 months and 29 days.
